Arch Window Dilemmas

Arch Windows add architectural interest and provide lots of extra light during long winter months. However, on hot summer days this beautiful design feature can be bit of a nuisance when trying to block heat, light and U.V rays.  In some cases, privacy can also be of concern.

Depending on the size of the window and your budget, you may have more than one window decor option.

FULLY FUNCTIONAL DRAPERY PANELS are often an option for smaller arch windows but for very large windows as seen below, carefully selected and customized hardware is the key to providing full function.

STATIONARY SCREEN SHADES are available in a variety of fabric choices to coordinate with other window fashions while providing many levels of light and privacy levels including complete black-out. These shades are generally mounted inside the frame and do not take away from the arch design.

Here the Arch shade is 5% open (95% private) while the bottom window has functional Faux Wood Horizontals.
